Project Description
Following on from the success of last September's event, Greater Dipton Catchment Group brought their community back together for another spring social and wellbeing evening.
Southlander Bailley Unahi recently spoke at Southland Sports awards about what has happened since her accident in 2016, and how she has found her new goals and is making them happen.
The Catchment Group will give a brief overview of what they have achieved over the last year and their plans for this year.
Objectives
Bring the Greater Dipton community together for an informative and social wellbeing evening, with an inspiring local speaker, as part of their local journey to help individuals, families and communities be healthier, happier and more productive.
Host a community event that promotes the Greater Dipton Catchment Group and Thriving Southland, and gives people a chance to talk to their local Catchment Group members about the Catchment Group and their ideas for it
Enjoyable, social and informative evening near the end of lambing and calving, celebrating the Catchment Group success over the last year, advertising what is coming up, and continuing their journey for personal and community wellbeing
Outcomes
Farmers that have a better understanding of how you can create new goals and direction, and make the most of a new situation.
Dipton community coming together at a busy time of year (calving and lambing) to relax, be together, and continue to learn about how they can look after their personal and community wellbeing.
Create and raise awareness of the Greater Dipton Catchment Group and what they do
Forge new links between the Dipton community and their local Catchment Group
Produce new ideas for the Catchment Group to pursue in the future
