Project Description
Southland has a strong international community that work on farms, and sometimes culture and language (especially when English is a second language) can be a hurdle in spreading effective change, sharing ideas and getting all members of a farm team on the same page with key actions.
This project kicked off with small focus groups from the international farming community discussing the need to upskill and spread Good Management Practice amongst our international 'English as a second language’ farm workers.
Objectives
- Find out what materials, methods and support the ‘English as a second language' farming community and their employers recommend.
Outcomes
- Collation of discussions from focus groups to inform whether this could be extended into a larger project.
